Toray Japan plans to expand investment to meet the growing needs of the Chinese market

Toray Japan recently revealed that the company plans to expand investment and enhance the company's textile manufacturing capacity in China in order to meet the expanding demand, including disposable diapers and sanitary towels

the company plans to invest another 5 billion yen (equivalent to US $60.12 million) to improve the scope and intensive management level for the expansion of high-performance polypropylene spunbonded production line. After the expansion, the company's production capacity of elastic and breathable raw materials will increase by 60%, reaching 108000 tons by July 2012

at present, the company produces 50000 tons of nonwoven textiles every year in its factories in South Korea and 18000 tons of nonwoven textiles every year in its factories in China. Considering the large demand for raw materials in the Chinese market and the small supply, the company decided in January 2010 to increase its production capacity in China to 20000 tons by March next year to break the bottleneck of raw materials. However, now the company has decided to expand its production capacity of 20000 tons by July 2012

the company predicts that by 2015, China's sanitary products market will expand by 170% to 198000 tons. The company actively invests and plans to expand its production capacity to defeat its competitors in the market
